Course: National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches
This qualification trains the practical lifesaving skills that may be needed by anyone teaching or coaching swimming or another programmed activity in the pool.
The qualification is endorsed by the Institute of Sport and Recreation Management, the Amateur Swimming Association and the Institute of Swimming Teachers and Coaches. It is also recognised in Managing Health and Safety in Swiming Pools as being appropriate for those supervising programmed activities.
Candiates must be 16 yrs of age at the time of the assessment

Pupil to Teacher ratios
Basic Life Support
Lifesaving Rescue Skills
Swimming Pool Emergency First Aid
Awarding Body: Royal Lifesaving Society
Validity: The award is validated for 24 months from the date of achievement
Course Duration: 2 days
